Two bioengineers from South Africa.
Roche Janse van Rensburg and Corlius Birkill finished their post-graduate studies in bioengineering at the University of Pretoria in 1997. A few ventures later, in 2003, they founded Xavant Technology to take the guesswork out of how patients recover from anesthesia drugs. With several patents between them, they're still inventing in the same field.
