We democratize
clinical intelligence.

So that where you live never determines how well you're cared for.

One NMT engine, built two ways.

NMT monitoring measures neuromuscular transmission: how deeply a patient's muscles are relaxed under anesthesia, and whether they have safely recovered. Stimpod™ is the only handheld system on the market that supports both AMG and EMG sensor technologies, and the same engine ships as a module inside other manufacturers' patient monitors.

AMG or EMG? The case decides.

An open arm suits a reusable AMG sensor. A tucked arm, a robot or a laparoscopic field calls for EMG. Stimpod™ carries both in one handheld, so the clinician chooses per patient and keeps one monitor across every theatre.

The only monitor tested as both an AMG and an EMG

Six widely used monitors measured the same 28 patients, given no blocking drug, 9,498 TOF ratios in all. Stimpod™ was the tightest acceleromyograph on test, and its EMG held 0.021, level with the laboratory mechanomyograph at 0.022.

Acceleromyography setup on a forearm: two skin electrodes over the ulnar nerve and a reusable accelerometer strapped to the thumb

The most precise acceleromyograph on the bench.

Against two other acceleromyographs, Stimpod™ held the tightest spread, 0.07 against 0.10 and 0.18, and it was also the steadiest from patient to patient. It does this on a reusable sensor, so the routine list carries no array cost.

That was the fourth-generation sensor. Today's Stimpod™ carries the fifth.

Sensor
Reusable, with no single-use array to buy
Nerve sites
Ulnar, posterior tibial or facial
Best for
Cases where the arm is open and accessible
Electromyography setup on a forearm: the single-use ripple electrode array running from the wrist to the thumb, connected to the Stimpod NMT monitoring cable

As steady as the laboratory standard itself.

Xavant's EMG held a spread of 0.021 where the mechanomyograph held 0.022. Every EMG in the study sits within about a hundredth of the laboratory standard, so the real choice is the electrode: a patented ripple design that fits either hand and holds through long cases.

Electrode
Patented ripple array, single use, either hand
Measures
Peak-to-peak and area under the curve
Best for
Tucked arms, robotic and laparoscopic cases, and children from 28 days
X-Link mounted on an IV pole with a Stimpod NMS450X+ docked beside it, network cable entering the top

The result reaches the record without anyone typing it.

X-Link carries every Stimpod™ measurement over your hospital's Ethernet network and into the patient record, in HL7, FHIR and IHE, the standards your systems already speak. It charges the monitor while it sits docked, and it reads the monitor without ever influencing it.

Prefer the patient monitor the anesthesia team already watches? The Stimpod™ also connects to leading patient monitors with a single cable.

Up to

80%

lower consumable cost per case than EMG‑only monitoring

Pay for an EMG array only when the case needs one.

Run the reusable AMG sensor on the routine list and open a single-use EMG array only for the cases that need it. That's cost control at the point of care, with one quantitative standard across the hospital.

Run the numbers for your theatre →

Modelled per case with the reusable AMG sensor on routine cases and a single-use EMG array on the rest, against an EMG array on every case. The cost benefit tool shows every assumption, and you can change each one to match your hospital.

We believe where you live should never determine how well you're cared for.

So we democratize clinical intelligence by making it open, affordable and simple.

We just happen to build the world's best neuromuscular monitors.

Since 2003, clinicians in 57 countries have monitored an estimated 6M+ patients with Stimpod™.

See clinical intelligence, democratized.
